The Health Sector represents a new market place for SunGard Public Sector where we see our solutions complimenting the strategic issues that the sector faces.
We have been working with South East Essex Primary Care Trust to develop a data lead strategy to maximise the effectiveness of existing initiatives on health outcomes throughout the SE Essex region. Their aim is to improve people's health by supporting them to lead healthier lifestyles through healthy eating, stopping smoking, drinking sensibly, regular exercise, positive mental health, promoting its screening programmes and encouraging good sexual health.
SunGard integrated our analytical solutions into the Primary Care Trust’s business processes to develop a strategy to maximise the effectiveness of existing coronary heart disease related initiatives, which will maximise their budget and ultimately reduce regional health equalities and increase average life expectancy throughout the SE Essex region.
The analytical solution uses data derived intelligence to help target resource to the appropriate people dependent upon their key lifestyle risk factors - smoking, poor diet, obesity, inactivity, poor sexual health and poor mental health.
The analytical solution can currently be applied to the following health outcomes:
