Control Room Integration

The DS2000C has many optional features to greatly enhance control room capabilities.

Featuring external interfaces for integration with other systems based on the use of XML messages, the DS2000C can integrate with other product offerings from SunGard or other system suppliers thereby providing customers a platform to provide a fully integrated operations room solution.

In the future they will be further enhanced to provide additional functionality as customers move towards a seamless single solution of totally complimentary components.

Some examples of the interfaces currently available are:

  • Trunk Radio System Interface (TRSI)
    Used to provide access to status information for short data message exchange between Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio devices.
  • Trunk Radio Location Interface (TRLI)
    Providing control and reporting mechanisms for location based information and integration with Geographic Information Systems.
  • DS2000 Command and Control Interface
    Integrates the operation of DS2000C operator consoles with the equivalent operator console of a CAD system (sometimes referred to as Incident Management Systems). This allows the CAD system to generate commands to make and control telephone and radio calls and to provide auto logon functionality so that a dispatcher has single sign on to multiple applications via CAD.
  • Alarms Interface
    Integration of GSM/Tetra wireless alarm systems with the DS2000 to provide seamless presentation to all dispatchers.
  • Call Event Interface
    Call event data relating to operator, telephone and radio events. This interface can be used by Management Information Systems to provide call handling statistics and by Voice Recording applications to tag recorded audio for later retrieval.
  • Instant Replay
    A single recorder facility can be provided for all operator positions. Users simply select the required recording to replay either from a displayed list or by use of a ‘last message’ replay function.
  • Enhanced Supervisor Functionality
    This option provides enhanced functionality to enable the supervisor to view an operator’s console display and/or listen to the audio without the operator being aware. This feature also provides the ability for the supervisor to override a console if necessary.
  • Ancillary Shelf
    An ancillary shelf can be fitted to the DS2000C central cabinet. Any device that can be controlled by closing contacts can be accessed and/or monitored with this option such as access controls, barriers etc. Full management is provided to configure the control type and display attributes for each device.
